Dimple Kapadia dazzles in Hollywood mega release ‘Tenet’

Well-known Bollywood actor Dimple Kapadia is the Indian connection in the latest Christopher Nolan mega Hollywood release alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh and Michael Caine.

Kapadia shot in Mumbai (pictured) for the film, which has travelled across seven countries, using a mix of Imax and 70mm film.

John David Washington is the new protagonist in Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle, armed with only one word and fighting for the survival of the entire world. The protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.

Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team included director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema, production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Jennifer Lame, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson, and special effects supervisor Scott Fisher. The score is composed by Ludwig Göransson.

Taking moviegoers by a surprise, Hollywood star Tom Cruise made a visit to a London movie theatre to catch the much-anticipated film by Nolan – known for box-office hits such as ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Inception’.

The Hollywood star documented his journey to the theatre amid the Covid-19 pandemic and shared the video clip on Twitter.

His post was captioned: “Big Movie. Big Screen. Loved it.”

In the video, the ‘Mission Impossible’ actor is seen in a black-on-black attire with a face mask of the same colour. The 58-year-old star seemed pretty excited to get back to the big screens.

“Great to be back in a movie theatre everybody,” he said at the end of the screening. When a fellow moviegoer asks about ‘Tenet’, Cruise replied that he “loved” the film.

Most theatres have remained shut during the coronavirus lockdown in an attempt to contain the spread of the virus, but after months of closures, some have begun the process of reopening with ‘Tenet’ marking one of the biggest cinematic releases since then.
