Tata AutoComp partners with US firm to set up EV charging points

Tata AutoComp inked an MoU with Tellus Power to set up AC and DC fast charging network for electric vehicles in India.

Tata AutoComp Systems partnered with US based electric vehicle charging infrastructure company Tellus Power Green to set up electric vehicle charging stations in India.

The auto component major said it has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tellus Power to set up AC and DC fast charging network for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger, and commercial vehicles in the country.

Tata AutoComp and Tellus will provide various AC chargers from 3 kW to 11 kW size for home and residential complexes as well as DC fast chargers from 20 kW to 300 kW to meet the needs to charge various types of vehicles in public places such as office and commercial parking lots, convenience public charging stations within cities as well as highways, dedicated depots for commercial vehicles etc.

Randhir Reddy, Global CEO, Tellus Power Green, said: "The partnership with Tata AutoComp Systems will further strengthen Tellus' existing presence in India. As a team, we are hoping for a significant contribution to the Fame 2 initiative by the government of India. Thanks to this alliance, we can achieve the promotion of electric mobility in an efficient way and benefit more countries internationally."
