Dell eyes new verticals for India expansion

Dell EMC Technologies has said it is tapping into new verticals such as smart manufacturing and energy to expand its business in India next year. Apart from these two sectors, the company's government and smart city projects are currently driving its growth in India, K.C. Choi, Senior Vice-President, Global Enterprise Systems Engineering, Dell EMC, was quoted by the Indian media as saying. The American company has partnered with system integrators and application providers for this initiative. Choi said that although the company is seeing a spike in demand for emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, the blend of new and old technologies is where significant growth can be seen. Internet of Things (IoT), deep learning and real-time processes are the crucial areas where the company is looking to increase its revenues, Choi added: “We will also continue to focus on mobility, hybrid, and multi-cloud applications, and offer end-to-end solutions.”
