Sinch enters India with $70mn ACL Mobile acquisition
The acquisition will allow Sinch to expand its reach and to leverage ACL’s direct connection to mobile operators in India, Malaysia, and UAE.
Swedish cloud computing service provider Sinch AB signed an agreement to acquire Indian firm ACL Mobile for about $70 million in cash. The acquisition will allow Sinch to expand its reach and to leverage ACL’s direct connection to mobile operators in India, Malaysia, and UAE and offer end-to-end connectivity, without unnecessary middlemen.

The acquisition is Sinch’s third large acquisition over the past few months. ACL Mobile Communications serves more than 500 enterprise customers and is particularly successful in Banking and Financial services industry. Its platform enables businesses to interact with their customers through multiple channels including SMS, voice, email, IP messaging, and WhatsApp.
