I was most touched to have been asked to join you all at the start of India Global Week. As you undertake these vital discussions I have every confidence that you will identify practical answers to the questions we all face and help to move us on to a more sustainable trajectory towards a better future.

I must place on record my thanks to India Inc. for organising this event even in these trying times which really is the essence of greater engagement between the people of UK and India and between businesses.

Through their impactful and outcomes-driven work, India Global Forum has consistently provided a platform that fosters a better understanding of modern India and its vast opportunities for the global audience. It has also played an important role in building meaningful cross-border connections. India Global Forum's mission to build corridors of technology, talent, investment, and trust is more relevant than ever. These pillars form the bedrock of successful international partnerships, and gatherings like these enable global leaders and innovators to collaborate and create solutions for shared challenges.

We as Indians have taken part in conversations on international forums like the World Economic Forum, where we have tried over a number of years to ensure that the Indian voice is resolute and heard distinctly. The India Global Forum gives us a distinct opportunity to present not only the possibilities in India, but also the possibilities that Indians bring no matter what the geography they're a part of.

Great to participate at such an important forum like IGF, where we are trying to create a new India, a new UK and to explore the opportunities and the potential we can tap into between the two countries – I think that’s what is exciting for me.

The more forums like this .. or actually the governments of two countries can make it easier for us to work together and allow for corporates and give them more avenues to explore these global resources put for our growth and the benefit for the economy the better it is for both the nations. I really look forward to seeing that happen.
